You’ll read the book (it’s an easy read) and complete the exercises prior to the first class. You’ll have opportunities to write your own accomplishments, and Don will edit and polish them so they will shine as brightly as you do. HALF-DAY WORKSHOPS - Learn the ins and outs of writing your own functional résumé. Periodically Don conducts small-group half-day public workshops for up to 15 people. In order to make the most of the workshop, participants will receive the download of the Functional Résumé Writing Course and will be expected to complete it prior to attending the workshop. Participants will be asked to email their completed drafts to Don prior to the workshop.
In addition to passing on knowledge, Don will provide coaching and editing support throughout the workshop. By the end of the session, participants will understand the mechanics of how to create their own functional résumé, and will leave prepared to create their own functional résumés. Your investment will be $199 per person.
TWO-DAY IN-HOUSE OUTPLACEMENT. As the economy continues to struggle and companies continue to lay off staff, there are those that can afford to provide their employees with outplacement assistance, but many cannot.
Don has developed a two-day in-house outplacement program for small groups of employees. He will conduct the workshop on-site or at a location of the company’s choosing. To get the most out of the two days, there will be pre-work. Participants will receive a download of the Functional Résumé Writing Course and will be expected to complete it prior to attending the workshop. Participants will be asked to email their completed drafts to Don prior to the workshop.
Participants will leave with a completed functional résumé and an understanding of the process, two custom cover letters, interview training, including video-taping practice session and critique, and their own job-search strategy.
